The CII Mining & Construction Equipment Summit Eastern Region was held on October 18-19, 2023 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The summit was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
The summit was chaired by Vivek Bhatia, Chairman of CII MCED and Managing Director & CEO of thyssenkrupp Industries India.
The mining industry in India has the potential to create 6 million jobs by 2025, accounting for 12% of the new non-farm job gap. The industry could also contribute an additional USD 125 billion to India’s output and USD 47 billion to India’s GDP by 2025.
